Ruchi and the Bee

The Rebbetzin's Ramblings:

For the first time in my life I got a bee sting. It was pretty creepy,
actually. I put my feet into my slippers at the end of the day and - OW!
I thought there was an open pin in there! I pulled out my foot, and there
was a bee attached to my toe! I didn't know what to do! None of my kids
had ever had a bee sting! So I hobbled downstairs and called, "Sruly! I
got a bee sting!" (3rd grade regression.) We got some ice on the sting,
then he googled bee sting to find out exactly what to do. Get out the
stinger, ice, baking soda paste, what to expect etc.

An hour later, I got a phone call from my cousin who was out-of-town.
"Ruchi, Eliyahu (her son) just called. He thinks Malka (age 3) got a bee
sting. Can they come over to see if she's OK?"

"Miriam," I said, "Send them on over. We're prepared!"

Of course we calmly and expertly knew exactly what to do!

"G-d, in his mercy, prepares the cure before the affliction" (Talmud).
