So this week the kids and I traveled to Lakewood, New Jersey to visit my family for the long weekend. Well, we left in a rush (surprise, surprise) and I left a bunch of my stuff for Sruly to pack. I get to Lakewood - we'll skip the road trip part - and discover to my dismay that my toiletry case got left behind. I try to shift into mussar-mode (it's OK, I don't need to get upset about this, I can just go to Target and restock...). I WAS upset on the inside but thankfully was able to control myself on the outside. (PS It was my fault, I didn't leave it where I said I would.) The only thing I was annoyed about was my glasses. See, my eyesight is really bad (8-9) and I'm like blind without them. Oh well. So I take out my contacts that evening, and decided to poke around the drawers and see if one of my sisters had an old pair laying around. I find a pair, put them on and... viola. They are EXACTLY my prescription.
I had left them behind on some previous trip.
Message? God is my shadow. How I act? ...He mirrors me.
Have a great week,
Ruchi
