Men's Shabbaton Musings

Men's Shabbaton Musings

"What an amazingly spiritual and uplifting weekend we had. Those early-morning walks, saying the morning blessings overlooking the lake, and appreciating the glory and majesty created by G-d were incredible!"
(Drew Barnholtz, Beachwood)

"Wow! Where to start? Our Shabbos together was such an amazing bonding experience with such incredibly real, positive, soul-seeking, real world living, and growing friends! Can't believe I was even considering missing out!"
(AJ Bulua, University Heights, JFX Chazzan)

"What a great Shabbat. Our teachers and brothers all had something profound to contribute. Loved the Friday evening outdoors L’chah Dodi prayer, the food (of course), and the meaningful programming. Can’t wait for the next Shabbaton. Thank you to all who made this happen."
(Michael Goldberg, Pepper Pike)

"A weekend to focus on our own individual spiritual journeys shared with our community of brothers. We have been blessed with amazing inspirational leadership from Rabbi Koval, Jake Koval, and Cantor AJ, and enriched by Rabbi Yosef Koval and Rabbi Helman’s presence. Truly a magical weekend."
(Jay Goldstein, Beachwood)

"Having not been to a men’s Shabbaton before, this was way out of my comfort zone.  It turned out to be a wonderful weekend of praying, learning, and spiritual growth."
(Brian Green, Shaker Heights)

"Another fantastic Shabbaton. Not only is the experience truly inspiring, but equally meaningful is the opportunity to develop deeper relationships with a group of really great people. The experience just brings out the best in all of us."
(Robert Rosenthal, Beachwood)

"I had such a special time at the Shabbaton. The energy and fellowship were off the charts. The food was great - nobody could have gone hungry. Some late-night learning about the Parsha was going on, infusing the beach house in Vermilion with holiness and vibrancy. The Saturday morning walk on the beach was invigorating, and the prayers and songs, ending with the watching the sunrise, were truly inspirational. I will keep this memory of a very special Shabbaton."
(Jeff Turell, Beachwood)

"The Shabbaton was full of so much inspiration. The emotional prayers, powerful stories, delectable food, strength of bonding, raging bonfire, and steaks without utensils all had a part in our joy and bringing the spiritual purpose of 5173 Shoreline Way and 406 Ash Lane to life. Kol Hakavod with all of my gratitude!"
(Ethan Weiss, Shaker Heights)
