Home Sweet Home

On our way home from a beautiful, whirlwind trip to NY and NJ for a wedding,
grandmother's 80th birthday party, Koval family reunion, and more, we headed
back to Ohio. The whole way home I kept saying, "I can't wait to be home!
Home sweet home!" and other helpful comments such as these. (Better than being
a backseat driver - no?) Now, I'm actually the kind of person who loves going,
traveling, seeing, attending stuff. Not a homebody. I surprised myself by my
deep desire to be, finally, home. When we alighted from our business-class
accommodations (7 people in a 7-seater minivan) my 3-year-old Nosson said, "Is
THIS our home sweet home??"

Made me go hmmm.

See, I just returned from Israel. (Read all about it in the Men's Mission link
above.) And that's our home. I don't spend enough time there, but it IS my
home sweet home. Even if you've never been there, don't you feel a
connection? Even if you can't remember the last time you were there... isn't
it yours?

"Better to live in America and wish you lived in Israel, than to live in Israel
and wish you lived in America."

What do you say, friends?

Agree? Disagree?

Have a wonderful Shabbat.

Signing off from home sweet home, for now,

Ruchi
